Aileen Morales-Rabizadeh
- Client Care Coordinator
Overview
Aileen’s journey in the realm of senior care began with employment at health care facilities. Working her way up through marketing and management, she developed a strong grasp of the business end of serving the elder population. Dissatisfied with the way clients were being treated, Aileen went out on her own.
Beginning with her “Positive Outcome Plan,” Aileen began working directly for clients and their families. Addressing family dynamics, medical issues and financial concerns, Aileen assists families in dealing with a broad range of issues. Implementing a blend of cultural sensitivity, intuition and unique experience, she helps clients to deal with guilt and recognizes the overwhelming scenarios that get people stuck. She motivates them to move forward. By breaking tasks down into steps that are more readily accomplished, the families she works with are guided in a more successful direction.
Known in her circle as “The Dementia Whisperer,” Aileen knows how to deal with patients in cognitive decline and their behaviors. She sees this as an aspect of aging, and has yet to encounter a situation that can’t be solved. She has persuaded hygiene-challenged seniors to bathe and calmed the most turbulent personalities.
Aileen is also passionate about supporting the LGBTQ community. She has seen the pain of aging people who return to the closet when they don’t have an advocate to help them.
Utilizing her experience, she trains home health aides for her own agency and has a great deal of success keeping demented people in place with greater quality of life, and at significant savings over other less effective solutions.
Aileen has learned that families like to plan for the fun stuff, but tend not plan on graceful aging. We don’t like to talk to our loved ones about what we want for the ends of our lives. For that reason, most people are unprepared and wait until a crisis. Aileen bridges the gap.
Serving many of her clients as health care advocate, she often serves the role of Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxy, Executrix and Trustee. Her background is immaculate and her clients rely on her to help them select the right next steps to take with other caring professionals to see that all of their end-of-life needs are met with care, intelligence and sensitivity.
